Born and raised in Nepal, handmade practices have always been an integral part of my culture and family. My grandma was very skilled, she handmade everything from the eyeliner (gajal in Nepali) to the clothes to the bedding we slept on. I admired her. Hands have always been of keen interest to me, the things we can do with our hands. So, following a handmade practice after studying Cosmetic Science at LCF seemed inevitable. I started crocheting and selling custom garments to friends in early 2015. Now at 2023, I am building my knitwear brand where I design, create and photograph my creations to share with the world. I am very much inspired by the invisible, the otherworldly, the fiction and the nature that surrounds us all.
