“I began my photography journey at 13 when I first decided that it was the medium of art I wanted to peruse above all else. I was gifted my first camera that year and began photographing anything I could at the time which mostly consisted of the flowers in my garden, the fields around my house and my two very unwilling cats. I then developed to taking it with me everywhere, on every trip to London, the zoo, the park or the occasional family holiday which really helped to develop my overall skills as I’m completely self-taught. I only began doing portraiture when I started my BTEC art and design course which consisted mostly of self-portraits as I was too nervous to ask anyone to model for me; it really taught me to be creative with my camera and lighting set-ups because all I owned was my camera, a tri-pod and a torch I would use for a light. This led to where I am now where I specialise in drag portraiture both on location and in studio (with a heavy bias for studio due to the controllable lighting).”
