Fascinated by the universal pretentiousness that spans across the creative industries, I usually approach my work with an air of youthful insouciance. Usually stemming from darker themes yet satirical by nature, there’s an unwavering awareness that at the end of the day it’s just an image. With perception and the conveyance of feeling being the unspoken masters of the art world, artificiality and gimmicks seem to prosper. Personally inspired by the idea that the audiences interpretation is the “artwork” itself not the individual creating it.
Executed through a range of traditional and digital techniques, acquired through studies in a range of creative sectors. I seem to unintentionally blend references which can spawn anywhere from fashion design to an argument I heard on the tube. With my body of work often serving as a childish personal journal.
