Once Lee Alexander McQueen said "what 'normal' people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it", and that has been my creative motto ever since I started working.
My main motivation lies in investigating the limits of fashion in order to go further, challenging what is established as the norm, exploring the relationship between clothes, gender and the body. I like adding little hints of disturbance in my work, taking something that's usually hidden or uncommon and making it the central point of attention. My work is maximalist in the way that I choose clothing but minimalist in the way that I style them: clothing has a beautiful language of their own if you just give them the right space to be, creating the perfect atmosphere for it to tell you a story.
